Are you interested in learning more about arts and culture? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others? A "docent" is a teacher, lecturer, or guide and plays an important role in creating a memorable experience for museum visitors. To learn more about our upcoming docent training program and meet our current team of docents, join us at our New Docent Mixer on March 30th at 10:30 am. Light refreshments will be served. The Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts promotes the cultural understanding and appreciation for textiles, fiber arts and associated objects within the University and surrounding communities.
Description
The Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts is the first and only center of its type in the state of Florida. Dedicated to furthering the understanding of cultural and creative achievements in the textile and fiber arts, the center preserves, maintains, displays and interprets an international collection of textiles through public exhibitions and educational programs.
