Berkeley Humane

The Development & Communications Department is seeking a friendly and cheerful person who has good phone etiquette, and will feel comfortable calling and thanking donors for their support of Berkeley Humane.

Most calls will result in leaving a message, for which we have a script for you to follow. These calls will NOT be asking for money, and the volunteer is not expected to be able to answer questions of the caller. Stories and questions can be relayed to the Development Department staff for follow-up. In addition, general office assistance could include the following:

  • Filing
  • Copying
  • Assisting with mailings
  • Miscellaneous administrative assistance

Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • Warm, friendly demeanor on the phone
  • Able to commit to one 1 -2 hour shift per week during business hours
