Do you love talking to people and getting them involved? Are you passionate about helping people who have been affected by cancer? Do you have time to help volunteer with a grassroots organization?
Well, we've got the volunteer/Intern position for YOU!
We are looking for someone 18yrs of age or older that is personable and isn't afraid to talk to strangers! An outgoing applicant is needed for this fun volunteer opportunity, where the Community Engagement Volunteer would focus on engaging the community with UCAAN and how we help people with cancer.
Volunteer position would include reaching out to schedule speeches with local service organizations, meetings with mayors, getting businesses involved in upcoming events, etc.

"While all of the other organizations are raising money for research, who is helping the patients? The reality is that while research has progressed and we have discovered treatments to prolong a cancer patients life, survivors are living longer lives with a worsened quality of life. There are more side effects that are making a cancer patients’ quality of life even more difficult. These side effects include but are not limited to brain damage, memory problems, infertility, degenerative disc disease, deterioration of teeth & jaw bones, congestive heart failure, and post traumatic stress disorder! "
