As a Community Outreach/Ambassador, you will be working with the Executive Director to assist with Marketing the mentoring and scholarship programs.
Duties:
- Assist with recruiting students, volunteer mentors, and sponsors.
- Attend community meetings, events, programs & workshops to educate people about scholar career coaching mentoring program and volunteer opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with collaborative partners (i.e., high schools, local business, organization, etc...) and cultivate new ones.
- Must have a clean criminal background record
- Must have a passion for students
Time Commitment:
- Ongoing ( 2-4hrs/week).

Our mission is to Coach, Motivate, and Support South Florida high school college-bound students through mentoring services and scholarships, particularly English as a Second Language students.
Description
Founded in December of 2012 as a non-profit organization, Scholar Career Coaching (Scholar CC) provides college and career services to South Florida high school college-bound students in Title I high schools, with a focus on ESL (English as a Second Language) students. While our focus is on ESL, we welcome all interested high school students. Our immigrant students are from low-income minority families, many of whom will be the first generation to graduate high school and to attend college.
