Are you looking to be on the front line fighting hunger? The Hunger Task Force is looking for a volunteer to assist with deliveries on Tuesdays 8:45-Noon ish. The volunteer would ride with our driver to local agencies, help with keeping track of inventory on the truck, and off loading product. Volunteers need to be able to get in and out of our large(ish) truck and lift up to 50 pounds.

The Mission of the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, Inc. is to eliminate hunger by harvesting community resources and being the voice of the hungry.
Description
The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse has two programs The Food Recovery Program and The Kane Street Community Garden.
The Food Recovery Programs collects nutritious food that would other end up in landfills and distributes it to 70 hunger programs in La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon Counties. These hunger programs include food pantries, meal sites, and youth programs.
The Kane Street Community Garden was created to help ensure free nutritious produce was available to everyone. The Garden grows 30,000 pounds of produce each year on 2 city blocks. Produce is distributed free of charge to the public.
