Our Logistics interns work directly with our shipping, purchasing and warehouse managers to ensure that inventory is ready for each Hunger Project. Our Logistics interns assure that all supplies are provided for each hunger project in the correct quantity and packaging amount. Interns will be engaged with the ins-and-outs of inventory management, shipping, distribution and warehouse organization. Some rewarding opportunities as a Logistics intern are: connecting with other countries to ship products, gaining knowledge in inventory systems, warehouse operations and traveling across the United States.
Intern Job Requirements:
Project purchasing and procurements
Maintaining food sanitation and health codes
Establish and maintain various supply chain and transportation metrics
Develop analytical support tools to assist with inventory management and overall warehouse duties
Work closely with the Director of Logistics
Ability to travel when necessary (weekend availability)
Ability to lift (50lbs to 100lbs bags of lentils and rice)
Load and unload event trucks/ shipments
Intern General Qualifications:
Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Ability to lift 50lbs to 100lbs of lentils and rice
Strong Work ethic
Professional Phone skills and etiquette
Ability to maintain confidential information
Self-motivated, resourceful, disciplined, and a strong work ethic
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail

Feeding Children Everywhere is a social charity that empowers and mobilizes people to assemble healthy meals for hungry children.
Description
For every one dollar received, Feeding Children Everywhere will package and ship four healthy meals to hungry children around the world. Out of all donations received, 93% of funds go directly to our meal programs and 7% of funds go towards general and administrative expenses. Meal packing events combine the good will of an organization, volunteer participation, and the focused efficiency of the Feeding Children Everywhere meal assembly system. They are practical, fun and most importantly, life-changing. Anyone can participate from business team executives to soccer teams and youth groups. Feeding Children Everywhere can mobilize a small group, or up to thousands of volunteers to make a difference.
