You might not have a lifetime boating experience, but whatever skills you offer, we'd love to welcome you aboard

We need volunteers to take a lead role in running The London Canal Museum.

There are lots of ways to get involved. Are you out-going? Love meeting people? Want to gain valuable museum and heritage experience? You could be just the person to meet and greet our many visitors.

Or discover a little of our fascinating canal heritage and share your passion by giving friendly introductory talks. Learn about the Ice Trade with Norway and our extraordinary Ice Well. Engage with visitors and pass on your enthusiasm for history.

Or delve a little deeper and assist in research for a temporary exhibition, help care for our collections or give short Ice Breaker talks.

Performances, education workshops or family activity days - we have a busy programme throughout the year. We aim to fit your skills and enthusiasms to our varied activities - all underpinned by a fascination for our London heritage.

Our Volunteers are a friendly and motivated team. We need the skills and time you can offer. Come and be part of it!
