Hope Harbor supports families by helping them create a more successful life for themselves by escaping the cycle of poverty. We are a small organization that provides intense work to those we serve. There are two types of volunteers and they are as follows:
Lead Volunteer: You will be assigned to a specific family and will complete a variety of tasks. They can include helping with budgeting, transportation, tutoringemployment, etc. You will assist the family with whatever they may need. With the staff person you will be the primary person to work with the volunteer
Task Volunteer: You will focus on a specific task and may work with several families. The task could be transportation, budgeting, assistance with employment, etc. If you have a specific skill that you would like to offer this would be a good opportunity for you. If you are a lawyer you may want to offer pro-bono legal services.
Because we are so small we depend on our volunteers to assist us with our mission. You will develop some rewarding and lifelong memories. You will be helping a family chane their life for the better. We ask for at least a one year committment. You will volunteer several hours a week ( depending on your schedule).
