The YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Patterson and McDaniel Family Center has been providing prevention education to schools in DuPage county for over 25 years. We are very committed to keeping the children of DuPage County safe from bullying, stranger abduction, sexual abuse prevention and relationship violence prevention . The programs are fun and interactive.
Since the passing of Erin's Law, the goal is to educate and prevent child sexual abuse by empowering children and encouraging them to use their voice. This law mandates that schools are required to educate their students about sexual abuse. We need help educating these students, and we need a team.
We are looking for individuals to assist the prevention staff in elementary schools. Volunteers need to be available during the weekday when children are in school.
Training will be provided in March 2017 at the YWCA Patterson and McDaniel Family Center
