Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is hosting our annual Easter celebration, Hippity Hop, on April 1st and 2nd ! These events are largely supported by volunteers, so we gladly accept volunteers to help make these events happen.

To share some information about Hippity Hop , this is our annual Easter themed event. The event will be on April 1st and 2nd from 9:00am-4:00pm. We will have treat stations, exciting activities, inviting inflatables, an appearance from the Easter Bunny, special enrichment for the animals, local vendors, and more! We will need about 40 volunteers each day to make this event possible. We do ask that all volunteers be able to volunteer for the entire day from 8:15am-4:00pm.

We do provide and welcome breaks throughout volunteer shifts, but recommend bringing a lunch or to plan to buy lunch with some of our amazing offerings in the Zoo, since you will be volunteering the entire day. We require that all volunteers bring a water bottle with them to stay hydrated.

We will provide nametags and ask that your wear family friendly and weather-appropriate clothing.

We can accept volunteers 13+ years old, as long as they have an adult chaperone with them at all times. We will ask volunteers to arrive at 8:15am to get set up at their stations and get a walkthrough of the day.

If you’d like to organize bringing a group to volunteer for these events, please fill out this form and please be sure to indicate if you have a preference for one or both of the events:

If you’d like to sign up for yourself or invite friends or family, please fill out this form where you can fill out your information as well as schedule yourself for the shifts you are interested in:

We will send out a virtual training for these events to make sure everyone is prepared prior to coming to the event. We hope to see you there!
