Lakewold Gardens wants you to get out and enjoy the great out doors with our garden helper volunteer opportunity! Not only will you assist in the care of our 10 acre historic garden estate, but you will be able to enjoy it's beauty for yourself! No previous experience is necessary. Our knowledgeable horticulture staff can teach you what you need to know.
Garden helpers are welcomed every Wednesday-Friday at 10am, and Saturday from 10am-4pm. Shift length and start time is flexible. We ask you commit to working in the gardens for at least 15 hours a year.
Want to do more? If you have horticulture knowledge that you want to share, consider becoming a garden mentor. Help our new gardeners grow their green thumb, or assist with our "Green Thumb Explorers" youth program.
We also have "adopt-a-spot" opportunities. Whether as an individual or as a group, you can commit to care and maintenance of a specific area of our garden that captures your heart and imagination.
Application and background check are required in advance. Please visit us at http://www.lakewoldgardens.org/volunteering.html for more information and for a link to our online application.
