Description
Established in 1981, The Child Study Center (CSC) of New York is a not-for-profit Early Childhood center whose mission is to serve preschool-aged students with Special Needs. Our goal is to meet each child at their current developmental level regarding social, emotional, cognitive, motoric, linguistic and academic domains so that they may maximize their highest potential in a safe, supportive early learning environment.
CSC provides integrated academic enrichment and therapeutic services to preschool children, with the aim of enabling each student to become a confident and successful learner. Offering a curriculum aligned with the New York State Learning Standards, CSC employs a holistic approach to learning that includes parent involvement and individualized student support to ensure successful early educational experiences, inside and outside of the classroom setting.
The Child Study Center of New York has two preschool locations, one in Brooklyn and one in Staten Island. The agency is governed by an active Board of Directors and is supported by government grants and contracts, as well as foundation, corporate and individual support.CAUSE AREAS
