These boots are made for marching, right down the parade route!

The Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade needs your help! Every year, the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival celebrates local Irish heritage and culture. Our focus is to bring the people of our community together to celebrate St. Patrick and all things Celtic (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Ilse of Mann, Cornwall and Brittany). All of the money raised from the parade goes directly back into the parade and the community. Every year we donate money to students for scholarships in our Irish Heritage contest and we donate to local charities. We need lots of volunteers on the day for the following positions: Marshalls - keep the parade flow going, keep people out of the street; hand out flyers Festival Setup - Place tables/chairs/barricades; Monitors - be sure alcohol is staying in festival area Runners - Assist stage/festival with whatever is needed from point to point Clean tables, Festival Breakdown - collect tables/chairs/barricades/banners/tents. We are also looking for Irish/Scottish storytellers and American Sign Language Interpreters. Other non-profit groups already RASP or ALE trained for assisting in pouring beer in exchange for a donation to the group.
