Each year Chippewa Nature Center welcomes Spring with our annual Maple Syrup Day Event on Saturday, March 19

The public can enjoy crafts, tours of our Sugarbush and watch how maple syrup is made-admission fee for non-members. A pancake meal is also available for purchase-pre-reservation required-go to www.chippewanaturecenter.org to reserve a spot.

To make this event a success for our visitors, we depend on a large team of volunteers to help inside with the pancake meal. Several predetermined shifts are available during the day. There are also a limited number of outdoor children/family friendly slots available as well.
Volunteer opportunities include: meal servers, drink servers and clean up crews. and OUTSIDE there is a limited number of slots available for Photo booth and children's crafts/activities volunteers.

  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - afternoon / 01:45 PM to 04:00 PM
    1 person for photo booth and 3 people to Children's crafts and games -this is an OUTSIDE activity
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - 11:45 AM to 02:00 PM
    -1 person for photo booth -this is an OUTSIDE activity
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - 11:30 AM to 03:00 PM
    3 volunteers to serve guest (pancakes/sausage) will rotate between rooms-on a set schedule
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM
    Clean up crew -will clear tables, wipe and reset- crew will rotate be tween rooms
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM
    9 volunteers to remain in a room (3 per room) to serve beverages, etc
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - morning / 09:45 AM to 11:45 AM
    Shift will actually will end about noon- 2 people to Children's crafts and games -this is an OUTSIDE activity
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - morning / 08:30 AM to 11:30 AM
    2 volunteers per room to serve drinks and applesauce
  • Sat Mar 19, 2022 - morning / 08:00 AM to 11:30 AM
    3 people will fill meal orders (pancake/sausage) & deliver to guests- these volunteer will rotate between room -2 volunteers will stay to serve drink
