Keeping the past alive through a history museum depicting a real store front that was on the Ohio & Erie canal during its heyday. Akron rose to success by way of the canal.

About

We are always looking for friendly, welcoming people, with an interest in local history to greet visitors to the historic Mustill Store. Duties include answering questions about the displays and some light selling of canal related books, maps, postcards, snacks and beverages, etc. Training is provided and the time commitment per shift is 3 hours, as often as you choose. Volunteers always work in pairs. Shifts are from 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm. The store is open seven days a week, April through October.
