Joseph & Sarah Caring for Vets provides transitional housing for homeless veterans in the Metro Atlanta area in an effort to aid in ending homelessness among our veterans.
The Bookkeeper reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes and inventory. Duties include: accounts payable and receivable, bank and balance sheet reconciliation, adjusting journal entries, monthly and year end reports.
Responsibilities: pay invoices in a timely manner, conduct reconciliations, maintain the balance sheet, and provide administrative support to management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience
Proficient in Quickbooks
Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to pass a background check
