Are you a contractor or construction worker looking to lend your talents to others? Are you a build-it-yourself hobbiest looking to do projects for a good cause? Or, do you just love working with your hands (and/or tools) and building and/or beautifying things? Then we can use your help!
The AWARE Wildlife Center is a volunteer-based non-profit dedicated to preserving Georgia's native wildlife and its habitat through rehabilitation and education.
We need someone who would enjoy designing and building new enclosures for our animals, repairing animal enclosures and our rehab facility and doing maintenance to prevent problems. This requires someone with basic skills and experience in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliances, etc. We are looking for a creative person who can design solutions, estimate costs, and complete tasks. This job is largely working by yourself, so it takes someone who is comfortable performing these tasks without supervision.
You will get a great feeling of accomplishment and your work will be very appreciated!
