Engineers Week Needs YOU
The Cedar Rapids Science Center is hosting Engineers Week to celebrate the contributions to society engineers make and to motivate youth to be interested in engineering and science-based careers. Green Iowa has jumped on board to coordinate The B rains & Brawn Challenge at the Science Center's NEW facility , but we need your help!
The Brains & Brawn Challenge Saturday, February 22nd, 10am-3pm Hand-held computers will guide kids to 10 different stations throughout the Science Center where participants will complete tasks involving both intelligence and fitness! We need volunteers for the following:3-4 people to guide participants and supervise stations
There will be treats and a tour of the new Science Center facility!

Helping make Iowans more energy efficient through low impact home weatherization, energy education, and community outreach.
Description
We offer free home energy audits to all residents of Linn County, and free weatherizations to those who qualify. We also do outreach for a number of local organizations, as well as some events of our own planning and coordination. Lastly, we provide educational resources to groups of all ages. We speak to classes from Headstart through highschool, as well as adult groups at Habitat for Humanity's ReStore, etc.
