As a Lakewold events volunteer, you will help visitors discover the joys of nature at our historical garden estate in Lakewood, WA. Volunteers will assist with event set up and break down, parking and admissions. Volunteers will be key in answering visitors' questions, giving directions in the gardens, and leading arts & crafts projects.
Some of our yearly events include Fairy Fest (June 21-23), Community Day (Agust 24) and Beautiful Tables Showcase (November). If interested, please fill out an application at lakewoldgardens.org/volunteering and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch shortly.

Located in Lakewood, WA, Lakewold Gardens is a non-profit and National Historic Site. The gardens offer landscape architecture by Thomas Church surrounded by rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, and 30 Japanese maples on the shores of Gravelly Lake.

Description

Located in Lakewood, WA, Lakewold is a 10-acre non-profit public garden and National Historic Site. Lakewold offers landscape architecture by Thomas Church, unique Garden Rooms, a large collection of rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, and 30 Japanese maples.

Lakewold's Georgian style mansion and historic architecture complete the gardens, where visitors can step back in time to an elegant past or enjoy a relaxing moment to contemplate the future.

An inspirational experience where generations of family can discover common ground through the beauty of the garden.
