Although we are a Medical Reserve Corps, medical experience or training is not required to join our team. All it takes is the desire to volunteer and the capacity to learn.
Here at the Wayne MRC, we are a part of the Emergency Preparedness program in the Wayne County Department of Public Health.
We are trying to find individuals who would be able to work alongside public health staff in the event of an emergency.
We will provide all the training you would need to help us keep our programs and services running in the event of a county wide disaster.
In return, you will gain valuable knowledge that will allow you to serve your community.
You will also build lasting friendships and partnerships with other members and the health department.
Finally, the training provided typically can be used towards continuing education credits for nursing, social worker, EMT, paramedic, PA, as well as several other certifications you may hold.
