We host a community dinner and everyone is welcome to the table! We invite you to help us accomplish our weekly Share a Meal event, happening every Tuesday from 3:45pm to 6:00pm.
We invite the community to gather over a free dinner prepared in-house based on a menu thoughtfully created by our chef using fresh produce from our onsite garden. We will use food as an equalizer, bringing a diverse group to friendship.
Servers and Conversationalists 3:30pm - 6:30pm
3:30-4pm: arrive, read over recipes, sample meal
4pm-6pm: serve meal, bus tables, sit and eat in community
6-6:30pm: clean event room and kitchen
Kitchen Hands 10am - 6:00pm
10am-3:45pm: arrive, prep the meal, set up kitchen stations for serving
4-6pm: plate meals to be served, enjoy meal with community

Description
Gabriel’s Place is a non-profit organization located on the site of a former church and newly renovated parish hall. These facilities are assets to the neighborhood of Avondale-- a choice neighborhood--because the will be the site of programs that provide access to affordable, fresh produce--beginning in the garden with community plots and continuing into the community kitchen and eventually into the homes of residents who can then supplement their budgets and add whole foods into their families’ diet.
Gabriel’s Place fulfills a niche in a community where nutrition education is desired, as well as practical experiences to encourage behavioral changes in a safe and supportive setting.
As the recipient of the 2011 Most Outstanding Collaboration Award from Community Development Association of Cincinnati, Gabriel’s Place is already a sought-after space for community organizations and as a partner in the initiatives that fall under the health and education goals of the new Avondale Comprehensive Development Corporation.
