Do you enjoy sharing your musical gift with others in the form of singing old hymns, playing an instrument or engaging others in a musical tune? If you do, consider joining our team of compassionate Life-Line convalescent ministry volunteers who positively impact many of San Diego’s senior homes every week!

As a Life-Line worship leader, you will accompany and plan with Life-Line Bible teachers appropriate songs that you will lead vocally or by instrument, using Life-Line’s Praise & Worship songbook. Songs such as Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, Blessed Assurance, and others are well-known favorites to our senior residents. And, once you’ve seen the joy of an elder tap a foot, wave a hand, or clap to the sound of a familiar old tune, you won’t forget the impact music has with bringing back special memories attached to each song.
But that’s not all. In addition to serving the elderly, worship leaders may also choose to volunteer for Life-Line’s mid-week services, starting soon at the Life-Line office. Love contemporary worship? No problem. Life-Line will be open to additional worship music during mid-week services. This will be a place for volunteers to gather for a period of fellowship, worship, and hear a short Godly message. So don’t wait! Join Life-Line’s team of worship leaders today!
Number of hours each week: Two hours a week
Requirements
- Have valid driver’s license
- Be able to travel to and from senior/convalescent facility, home and the Life-Line office, as needed
- All volunteers must complete online registration and other requirements through our website at www.life-lineministries.com.

Description
Life-Line Convalescent Ministries was founded in February of 2000 with a vision to minister in local San Diego convalescent and retirement communities and beyond.* "Our mission is to communicate God’s love in order to share the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ." With nearly 200 volunteers, we provide non-denominational services in the form of Bible studies, church services, and friendly room visitation to over 60 senior facilities in San Diego each week. We also supply needed personal items requested by residents such as toothpaste, socks, undergarments, and wheelchairs. All church services are based on the Word of God.
