Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Come volunteer for Found Animals Foundation, a Los Angeles non-profit solely devoted to animal welfare!. We are an organization of avid animal lovers who focus our efforts on decreasing the number of homeless pets in shelters. We're for pets; not for profit. And now you too can help our work in our Culver City Adopt & Shop!
Weekday and weekday morning volunteers are always greatly appreciated! This is a great way to spend your downtime between college courses!
Our premier program is the Adopt & Shop store, which is an adoption center that bring animals from local shelters and makes them available to adopt in a bright, happy retail setting. Our original store is located in the Lakewood Mall and has adopted out several thousand cats and dogs so far!
Our second retail adoption center opened it's doors in 2014 in Culver City. We need volunteers to help care for pets at the store by cleaning kennels, socializing animals, photographing pets, and walking dogs. Volunteers also help by working with the public to place adoptable animals into new and loving homes.
