Educate Your Community about Alzheimer's - Alzheimer's Association
8 people are interested
Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. and one of the most feared diseases among seniors. Yet many communities lack important information about this terrible disease.
Help educate residents of Alameda, Contra Costa, or Solano counties by volunteering as a Community Outreach volunteer. Staff a table at a local health fair, drop off materials to your senior or community center, network with local places of worship and social clubs.
Additionally if you enjoy public speaking or teaching others, you may also have the opportunity to educate community members about the difference between normal aging and Alzheimer's, how to reduce one's risk of getting the disease, and the programs and services available to families and individuals coping with Alzheimer's.
Help bring awareness to YOUR local community!
We'll work with your schedule.
