Help Make A Difference by Volunteering at the 2017 Walk MS-South Hampton Roads, MacArthur Center Green. Join the fun as a volunteer on Sunday, April 09, 2017. We are in need of dedicated people to help with the following job descriptions: SET UP (10 people, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.): Set up tables and chairs. Decorate the walk site and help in any general way needed the day of the walk. BREAK DOWN (10 people, 3:00pm - 4:00pm) Assist with folding tables and chairs, loading supplies into the truck and getting garbage to the dumpsters. REGISTRATION (10 people, 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.): Register the walkers as they show up to walk. TRAFFIC DIRECTORS (5 people, 11:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m.): Help direct traffic into the parking lot. REST STOP: (5 people, 8:00 a.m. until the last walker passes): Set up the rest stop, hand out nutritional snacks and water to the 2000 walkers that will pass by your table and take down the rest stop. CHEERING SQUAD: (As many as possible!!!! 12:00 til the last walker arrives) Cheer on the walkers as they cross the finish line, handing out MS Walk pins with lunch tickets.
