Somewhere near you there is a senior who is lonely and who rarely leaves their home. Being isolated often causes depression and worsens physical health. By Volunteering with Elder Friends you can be the one to make a difference today.
Our volunteers are matched with seniors based on personality and interests, so that a life-long bond can develop. Playing cards, reading, taking a walk, chatting, or a trip to the store once a week is all it takes.

Description
Meals on Wheels San Antonio was founded as Christian Senior Services in 1977 as a joint venture between St. John’s and Grace Lutheran Churches. Initially, the agency delivered eight meals daily to homebound seniors and established an adult activity center for five senior clients.
