Reading Empowers was formed with the mission of improving literacy among young children. Our goal is to instill an interest in reading, at a young age, and our hope is that this will develop into a lifelong love and passion.

This upcoming school semester (Fall 2016), we will be hosting Saturday morning reading sessions at P.S. 1 and P.S. 124 in Lower Manhattan.

We are looking for volunteers to join us on our mission! We will be reading to students in 1st and 2nd grades.

P.S. 1 and P.S. 124 are both located in Chinatown at 8 Henry Street and 40 Division Street, repsectively, in LES Manhattan.

Below are the dates for the Fall 2016 semester.
