Do you support Kansas City’s community recycling centers, but you prefer to volunteer in climate-controlled comfort? Please consider joining Bridging The Gap’s team of phone bank volunteers, who help us reschedule our recycling center volunteers. No cold calling- phone bank volunteers call individuals who already volunteer with us or who have expressed interest in doing so.
Phone Bank takes place every Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bridging The Gap’s office in the West Bottoms; volunteers must commit to one shift per month.Our current need is either the first or third Monday of each month. Phone Bank volunteers play a critical behind-the-scenes role in keeping the Community Recycling Centers staffed. To volunteer, email Amy volunteer@bridgingthegap.org or call 816-561-1061 ext. 122.

Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.
BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
