We are currently seeking individuals to teach ESL Math to help bring math to life for our students. Adults tend to learn math best when it is applied to real life. Think of all the daily tasks that require math. Shopping for groceries, interpreting bus schedules, cooking with recipes, and more!
The English Learning Center is a school for adult immigrants and refugees in South Minneapolis. For more than 30 years, we have supported our students as they learn practical life and work skills in English, math, computer, reading, and citizenship. Our mission? Building knowledge for better lives and livelihoods.
Math classes are from 12:00PM - 1:00pm Monday- Thursday. We ask for a weekly commitment.
Please contact AM volunteer coordinator, Hayat Mohamed, hayat@englishlc.org for more information. Fill out an application: http://oscs-mn.org/elc-volunteer-application/
