Sharing the power of learning

Can you point, click, type and send an email? Are you able to create files in Microsoft Office programs? We are seeking volunteer teachers to instruct a Computer and Literacy class to help bridge the skills gap and train students in vital computer skills they'll need for a career and for life.

You will work with another volunteer to co-teach a class of up to 18 students. Co-teachers guide learners through independent exercises and facilitate small-group activities. Lesson plans are provided.

Basic computer skills, patience and the ability to work with learners from a variety of backgrounds are necessary to volunteer.

Class times are evenings from 5:30-8:00pm Monday and Wednesday evenings. *Volunteers are only asked to teach one night a week.

Currently seeking Monday evening volunteers.

Founded in 1972, Literacy Minnesota is Minnesota's only non-profit, volunteer-based, education provider that operates statewide. Through a network of over 100 community and school-based programs, we provide free classes for individuals lacking the most basic reading, writing and English-speaking skills. We serve both native-born Americans and refugees and immigrants.
