ORGANIZATION: The California Museum

Help kids explore 10,000 years of history and culture in the California Time Traveler Camp!

This summer camp is geared towards young adventurers ages 6-11 and offers engaging learning experiences as participants travel back in time to the state’s significant eras. A combination of exhibit tours, excursions to nearby sites and hands-on activities, daily itineraries begin on Monday in modern California and end on Friday in the state’s prehistoric past over 10,000 years ago.

The Museum is looking for camp volunteers to help implement crafts and activities and assist staff with off-site supervision of campers.

Schedule:

June 25th - 29th AND July 16th - 20th

Two time slots available: 9:00 -12:30 OR 12:30 - 5:00

If becoming a summer camp volunteer fits into your schedule and is something that interests you, please contact us to set up a time for an informal interview. In addition, all volunteers are required to go through a background check at the cost of $25.00, which is entirely tax deductible, and attend our two hour Museum training program.
