We get A LOT of donated items! Some is great stuff others need to fixed/cleaned up to be sold and some stuff gets recycled. All of it needs to be sorted - small appliances, funiture, sports equipment, tools, a duck shaped lamp, etc.

You would be a huge help by giving us a hand to look through donations and do with them what needs to be done. A lot of autonomy on what you think should be done.

We will train, but depending on when you are available others will be working with you, too.

As a part-time volunteer you help enable Bibles for Missions Thrift Store place printed and audio Bibles all over the world.

If you'd like to email me, please include your phone number.

Mission Statement

World Mission distributes, through its national partners, solar-powered audio Bibles (The Treasure) to oral learners living in unreached people groups.

Description

World Mission is a non-profit Christian organization founded in 1994 to support projects that take the gospel into third-world countries. We utilize partnerships with several Christian ministries including those supporting Christian orphanages, youth ministries, counseling and rehabilitation centers and air transportation support around the world.

Prior to 2007, World Mission focused on that half of the world's adult population who could not read by recording and distributing the Talking Bible in the heart languages of those people.

In 2007 World Mission first distributed a much smaller, more efficient, solar-powered Bible for oral learners, called The Treasure. By the end of 2008, 2,968 Treasures had been distributed. By 2014, more than the 100,000 Treasure had been delivered to these previously unreached people groups.

A key component of our distribution is the relationship World Mission has with our national partners in the 10/40 Window. National partners work with indigenous churches and Christian organizations that share Treasures with people in the far reaches of the world, focusing on otherwise unreached people.
