Did you know there are over 10,000 homeless vets in California? You can directly help those on the streets in downtown Fresno by becoming a Veterans Benefits Coach. Volunteers serve as a point of contact for vets to get connected to state and federal benefits and services they have earned through military service.
Fridays a volunteer is needed for a two hour shift between 10:00am and 5:00pm. This unique volunteer position is a minmum of two hours each week. A one year commitment is required. Volunteer must pay for metered-parking or walk .4 miles from free on-street parking to the Central Library.
This is a unique opporutnity, especially ideal for former vets who want to help others.
