Project HEAL Public Relations/Marketing Volunteer .
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a PR/Marketing volunteer you will take on a variety of tasks in the Public Relations department which manages all public relations and social media activity for the organization. Responsibilities could include any of the following and are not limited to:
- Contact with the press for news and coverage of Project HEAL
- Pitching stories to news outlets
- Liaising with celebrity publicists regarding appearances
- Working with social media such as Twitter, Google , Facebook, Our Blog, Utube & Instagram
- Strategically utilizing our email data base for communications
- Writing press releases, pitches, blurbs, as assigned
- Participate in meetings and reporting updates as well as general assistance with organization of PR contact lists
- Handle other responsibilities and projects, as assigned.
- We are looking for volunteers who would fulfill this role all over the US, in Canada, in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Australia
QUALIFICATIONS
5AA A passion for Project HEAL and desire to help it grow.
5AA Must be able to commit to 5-10 hours per week
5AA Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously
5AA Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and other groups as necessary both internally and externally
5AA Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
5AA Strong computer skills, PC with experience in Windows NT, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable software
- Strong verbal and writing skills.
- Integrity, honesty, openness and a willingness to operate as a team player

Mission Statement
Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.
Description
Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.
We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
