A Matter of Balance program is a proven program designed to help people manage concerns about falls and increase physical activity. The program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. Free two day training is available for the right person to teach these strategies. Matter of Balance classes are taught by two coaches so the efforts to teach are shared. Coaches are given the Matter of Balance curriculum binder and a Healthy Aging Association t-shirt. Volunteer hours are logged. All active volunteers are eligible to attend the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

Exact location, times and dates to be determined.Help is needed in the rural areas. Potential candidates are advised to attend the Volunteer Orientation February 13. For more details please call (209) 525-4670.

Leading the class is a great way to make an impact on the lives of older adults. The age of Volunteer coaches is not limited to 55.
