Would you like to help in our San Luis Obispo Habitat for Humanity office for a few hours a week?
Volunteers can support our work in the community by helping with organizing, copying, filing, answering phones, running errands, inventory, soliciting auction donations, marketing tasks and other individual projects. No experience needed, although if you have any special talents or interests, we can tailor a project to your skills.Shifts can be arranged around your schedule. Our office is open Mon-Fri from 9am-4pm.Habitat for Humanity volunteers are at the heart of our organization, ensuring that we can help low-income families in the County to purchase homes through 0% loans, maintain the homes they already own, and transform lives by promoting positive social and economic change throughout the County.

Description
HFHSLOCO was established in 1997 and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. San Luis Obispo County is one of the least affordable small metropolitan areas in the nation according to the National Association of Home Builders. The County is in a severe affordable housing crisis as low income workers have extreme difficulty finding affordable homes to live in. To address this housing need, HFHSLOCO uses volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money, materials, and services to build homes that are affordable to very-low and low-income families, maintaining the existing affordable housing stock, and revitalize communities through its Neighborhood Revitalization efforts.
