Mission Statement

Mission Statement Advocating for the protection of the children of Catawba County by working to: Empower individuals through training and education Coordinate a comprehensive team response to abuse and neglect Reduce victim trauma

The Children's Advocacy & Protection Center is the only place in Catawba County that treats children of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse. A Children's Advocacy Center is a home-like center where an abused child can tell their traumatic story one time rather than telling the story over and over again to all of the agencies that are involved in their care. A Children's Advocacy Center serves as a hub for a mulitdisciplanary team put into action to help the child. This involves the police department, social services, medical, mental health, and justice department.
