ORGANIZATION: Retired and Senior Volunteer Program

Seniors who are 55 and older are needed to volunteer as court watchers. Court Watchers will monitor the criminal justice system in an effort to make it more efficient, transparent, and accountable to the people of Orleans Parish. Volunteers track hundreds of felony cases, and their daily presence in the courtroom helps identify systemic problems while also sending the message that Orleanians care about making their criminal justice system more accountable and just.
