Who makes a good Volunteer?
-Anyone with the compassion for people
Compassionate volunteers are at the heart of Compass Hospices’s mission to provide
excellent end of life care to each patient and family, serving all people at the end of life’s journey.
What does a Volunteer do?
-Provides companionship to a person in the final months of life
-Becomes part of a team offering support to family members and caregivers
-Helping with community outreach
-Bereavement support
-Administrative assistance in the Interim Hospice office
-Creating, crafting, and using your talents
As a Hospice volunteer you will be given the choice as to how much and what types of things you want to do.

Compass Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms.
