ORGANIZATION: Minds Matter Southern California

Love Math? Want to instill that love in high-achieving, low-income students? The Director, Math role oversees all the curriculum and volunteers involved in the Math program for Minds Matter of Los Angeles. This role determines how many tutors/volunteers are needed and actively recruits, along with the Director of Volunteers, to be sure we are fully "staffed" for the year. During the year, the Director solicits feedback from the volunteer instructors and test prep tutors. With this feedback, the Director revises/revamps the curriculum as needed. Role is responsible for ensuring baseline assessments and progress assessments are issued and evaluated to help set the direction for the tutoring. The Director of Math role needs to be able to attend at least 50% of the Saturday sessions. Role will require 2 to 3 hours each week.
