Computer assistant will help customers use public computers to do basic computer tasks such as making an e-mail address, printing, filling out job applications, and other personal business. This is an exciting opportunity to assist an underserved population gain crucial computer skills and to help them manage their necessary affairs.
Volunteers will assist customers with basic computer tasks. Experience in customer service along with basic computer knowledge would be a plus. Knowledge of Nashville Public Library system mission and practices is helpful. Ability to work with people of all economic levels and backgrounds who possess little or no computer skills with patience and kindness is required. The varied makeup of our patron base presents unique challenges, such as disruptions of different types.

Description
The Nashville Public Library has a Main Library downtown, an Archives, a Talking Library service, and 20 branches throughout the city. Our 300 regular volunteers help us with a variety of tasks.
