Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: StreetCats, Inc.

Our new location is 3105 S. Winston Ave. (1 block west of 31st & Yale) and we are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. We hope to get more volunteers and the volunteer application is on our website www.streetcatstulsa.org under Help, print it out, and then bring it into StreetCats.

Have you got a few hours you would like to spend with like-minded people who enjoy working around cats? Our volunteers come to us because they like cats and enjoy talking about cats, and, of course, petting cats. We are licensed by the State Department of Agriculture and have periodic inspections so we are required to maintain our facility in accordance with their guidance. Therefore, our 3 ½-to 4-hour shifts include cleaning to keep our facility and cats healthy, but once the cleaning is done, we play with the cats and talk with the customers who also like to talk about cats. We make up a schedule monthly where you can say how much you want to work (once a week to once a month), what time of day (9:30-1:00 or 1:00-5:00), and which day(s) you are available to work. If you are interested in volunteering, an application and more information is available on our website at www.streetcatstulsa.org or you can pick up one at our facility. Volunteers must be at least 16. A volunteer coordinator will contact you after you drop off your application. You must complete a StreetCats Volunteer Application to be considered for volunteering and you must be able to volunteer for a full shift.
