Volunteer just a few hours per week and make a difference in lives of others by helping motivated adults improve their English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Work with small groups of students.

Mission Statement

South Coast Literacy Council is an all volunteer educational and charitable non-profit organization serving south Orange County, California. Our principal mission is assisting adults to acquire the English language skills that they need for daily living; to take advantage of employment opportunities; and to integrate fully into society.


An all-volunteer organization that provides free classes to adults learning English as a Second Language (ESL) from pre-literacy to advaned skill levels. Tutoring is provided in safe small-group environments at various locations throughout south Orange County, CA. Free training is provided to prospective tutors.
