Are you interested in learning about the history and plants of Lakewold Gardens? Do you enjoy leading others in the pursuit of knowledge? Then becoming a Lakewold Docent might be right up your alley!
At Lakewold Gardens, our Docents lead tours on the beautiful grounds of Lakewold while revisiting its rich history with visitors from around the world. You will learn how to conduct a tour and develop your own presentation style. Tours primarily occur during the months of April through September and last approximately 1.5 hours.
Training dates: April 2nd, April 6th and April 11th!
A volunteer application, background check and orientation are required prior to attending training. Please visit our website at lakewoldgardens.org/volunteering to apply!

Description
Located in Lakewood, WA, Lakewold is a 10-acre non-profit public garden and National Historic Site. Lakewold offers landscape architecture by Thomas Church, unique Garden Rooms, a large collection of rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, and 30 Japanese maples.
Lakewold's Georgian style mansion and historic architecture complete the gardens, where visitors can step back in time to an elegant past or enjoy a relaxing moment to contemplate the future.
An inspirational experience where generations of family can discover common ground through the beauty of the garden.
