If you live or work in the North End-South Como neighborhood and have an interest in helping to provide direction or leadership to the staff of the NE-SC Block Nurse Program, we would love to have you on our board. We need people from all walks of life to help us...business owners, health professionals, seniors, those with an interest in marketing or public relations. The main thing is to have a desire to help the elderly in our neighborhood to age in place. We currently have 10 members and have a need for 3 more!
Meeting time and frequency: Second Monday of the month from 2 PM - 4 PM. No meetings in June, July or August.
Time expectation: 3-5 hours/month

Mission Statement
The mission of the NORTH END-SOUTH COMO BLOCK NURSE PROGRAM is to maintain levels of independence for our neighborhood seniors through the collaborative efforts of volunteers, professional staff and contracted in-home nursing services. Proudly helping neighborhood seniors since 1987
Description
We are a non-profit community based home-care agency supported by grants, city, county and state funding, and the generous donations of our neighbors.
It is our goal to have a volunteer readily available whenever a senior or their family member calls for help!
By bringing together volunteers and older people, we can serve as a bridge to building stronger communities, the same commuinities they helped to build. Stronger communities can in turn better meet the needs and develop the strengths of people living there now and in the future.
