As a Look Good..Feel Better volunteer, you will be trained and certified in the program, working with your local American Cancer Society and local Professional Beauty Association/National Cosmetology Association area trainer.
You will participate in a Look Good..Feel Better group workshop conducted by trained beauty professionals who are certified as program volunteers. Group workshops typically take place in a hospital, comprehensive cancer center, American Cancer Society office, or other community setting. This is a free service offered by your American Cancer Society.
A typical two hour patient Look Good..Feel Better session will cover skin care and make up. You will also work with cancer patients to show them different ways they can wear hats, turbans, scarves, and wigs.
Requirements: Licensed Cosmetologist, or Esthetician. Training by the American Cancer Society.
