We need you! You can become an APPRISE Volunteer...under the Agency's Health Insurance Counseling Program. Most volunteers start out as concerned citizens, who have a question or issue regarding their own health insurance. Once they find the answer, they wnat to learn more and share what they have learned with others.
As an APPRISE Volunteer, you will:
*Receive free training about Medicare and related healthy insurance products.
*Participate in additional training and certification courses to maintain your level of expertise.
*Become a counselor, a speaker, an assistance, a data entry person, or even a writer.
Whatever your talents or schedule may be, there is an opportunity for you. You can volunteer 4 hours, 10 hours or an many hours as you want per month. You will also recieve mileage reimbursement for your volunteer activities.

The Armstrong County Area Agency on Aging provides services for Armstrong County residents primarily age 60 and over, governed by the Older Americans Act and in accordance with the Pennsylvania Departament of Aging regulaiton.
