Volunteering for hospice can be fullfilling and rewarding. We are always looking for good people with big hearts to fullfill one or all of the following:
*Support for patients: This can include visiting, reading, taking walks, writing letters, sharing music, assisting in life history compilation and providing a gentle touch.
*Veteran to Veteran volunteers
*Respite for family members: The volunteer can visit with a patient, allowing time for the caregiver to take care of necessary errands or simply rest.
*Bereavement support: This can include mailing out letters to our grieving families and making phone calls.
*Clerical work: Assistance with office work is always needed (Merced location only).

"Bristol Hospice- California, LLC is currently seeking individuals desiring to assist with volunteer services. Hospice volunteer provides caring, support, non-medical services to individuals and families coping with dying and grief. They promote education and dialogue within the community about end-of-life issues."
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated by the patients, their families and the Bristol Hospice Team that you will become part of.
Volunteers are an integral part of Hospice Care.
