Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone in your community? The Austin State Supported Living Center is in need of volunteers to be campus buddies for our residents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteers will visit the resident on campus for about an hour at least once per month. Activities might include taking walks, attending recreation programs, playing games, or watching tv at the home. The ideal volunteer will have experience with and knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Austin State Supported Living Center provides aid and support to 175 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in order to increase their independence and improve their quality of life.
