The Supervised Visitation Monitor conducts monitoring of supervised visits and/or exchanges for our families.
All volunteers would need to give us a six-month commitment and would need to work at least one shift per week consisting of 4.5 hours. During the week that shift would be from 3-7:30 p.m. and a weekend shift would vary on time between 9:30-5:30 p.m. The initial volunteer training would be 12 hours over two weeks and would include: documentation standards, intervention protocols and safety protocols.
Duties include:
- review of client files for familiarity with family situation
- documentation of visit interactions
- intervention for inappropriate behavior
- post-visit review with visiting party, if necessary
- prepares visit documentation when requested
The successful volunteer will be good at multi-tasking (must be able to observe and listen to visit interactions while typing on a laptop), comfortable for sitting for a minimum of one hour and solid writing skills. The successful volunteer will also need to pass a background check. Spanish language skills are a plus.
